River is incredibly low and full of filamentous algae. Where is it getting all it's nutrients from at this point ??
Would normally have abandoned if a day trip but a long pre booked overnighter so only fished the last hour given conditions.
1 barbel each on the float before calling time.
Incredible stupid canoeists having a camp fire and pitching up their tent on a gravel bank and refusing to leave when challenged by the estate workers.

We(3 of us) had a superb 3 days with the river to ourselves -as we took exclusive use of the stretch.
We had a total of 27 Barbel (up to 9.7lbs) and 14 Chub (up to 5.5lbs) - catching pretty well in most of the swims which were all cut out & ropes provided where needed. An excellent time and we shall be back
