2 brown trout 14oz - 1lb each. One other released at long range. All fish from the road side on a very windy day. Floating line size 12 bibio. Fishing 09:30 - 15:00 and then the heavy rain got the better of me. Seen one trout rise and had four taps/bites all day. Tough going in the strong wind. Great conditioned trout and a picturesque place to fish. Never seen anyone else all day.

Cold and windy conditions made for very difficult fishing. Some rises late morning but couldn’t work out what they were taking before the rise ceased.

Conditions not ideal with a brisk downstream wind that got stronger as the day went on. Decent amount of water though (0.97 on the Llanfoist gauge). One small trout caught but happy with that given the conditions. Nice beat and hope to return soon.

Fished from 10:30 to 4:00. The river was around 1.05m (Erwood gauge), a little lower would have been preferable but it was manageable. The weather was not great, very cold air temperature, blustery winds from every direction and intermittent torrential rain. One brown trout caught on a sedge dry fly pattern during a brief spell with no wind and a little sunshine when fish started rising (Stone Catch), the other two fish caught on tungsten bead headed nymphs under an indicator (Lady Alexanders Catch)
