1 Trout

fished from 10am- 2.30pm. all trout taking aqua baetis with 2.8mm bead on size 18 jig between 10.30a.m - 1.45 p.m. plenty of fly on water , midge, olives , sedge, mayfly . i have fished here only once before and noticed the lack of surface activity and today was the same, even with the overcast conditions the trout really are reluctant to rise. size between 7-13 inches with a fair few lost at the net also. the sun switched on at 1.45p.m and killed the sport instantly.

1 very lively bright silver salmon was hooked, played for several minutes and then safely released itself in some ranunculus.

2 Trout

No fish.. from 8 am to 5 pm

River very low and not a salmon seen. A note for WUF- the middle access via the the farm is not possible. After the first gate, the farmer has blocked the track with an electric fence.

all returned - most under 9" - lovely day - clouds and not too warm - some sun but soon went. Ideal.

Very nice river. Not many fish showing and nothing caught today. 2 canoeists came through the beat which was annoying and had parked there car at one the parking areas on the beat!

Lots of fly life this evening,sedge, spinners and mayfly 5 trout up to a pound and a couple of out season grayling on spinner pattern.
